How can I know that I entered the float correctly?

After inserting the float in the self-watering system and putting it into the inner pot, make sure it is not blocked and that it is completely lowered (only the red part is visible). After inserting the plant and adding the water try to touch the tip of the float, if it goes up and down it means that you have installed everything correctly.
