How to wash the filter

We recommend washing Shelfy's filter once a month to ensure maximum effectiveness, possibly when you put it on charge so you don't forget about it.

To wash the filter, just follow these simple steps:

1. Remove the front shell (the white one with the battery) from the back shell (the gray one with the filter). Filter washing will be done while keeping the photocatalytic filter in its slot inside the shell. It is important to handle the shells with clean hands and avoid touching the filter with your hands.
2. Rinse the shell with the filter under running water for about 10 seconds, making sure to pass the water stream over the entire surface of the filter and being careful not to pull the filter out of its slot.
3. Dry the shell with a clean cloth, being careful not to touch the filter with the cloth.
4. Remove any excess water inside the filter by gently shaking the shell while turning the filter upward, always being careful not to pull the filter out of its slot.
5. Lay the shell on a clean cloth, keeping the filter facing upward. It is advisable to let the filter dry in sunlight to optimize drying.
6. Drain any excess water and close the two shells again.

When the filter is washed, we recommend also wiping a slightly dampened clean cloth over the front shell, making sure Shelfy is not charging at that time.
