How does Shelfy's technology work?

Shelfy uses photocatalytic technology to safely remove pollutants inside your refrigerator. Unlike generic refrigerator odor absorbers, Shelfy actively absorbs odors: through mechanical ventilation Shelfy is able to capture all odors inside your refrigerator to eliminate them.

It does not use ozone or UV technology.

The technology is completely safe in contact with food: Shelfy uses a state-of-the-art nanomaterial that is classified as a non-PBT (Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic) and non-vPvB (very Persistent very Bioaccumulative) substance. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has issued a positive opinion regarding its use as an additive in food contact materials.
