If the app when connecting to WiFi shows an error message, this can be due to several factors:
- Check the credentials you entered and that you selected the correct network.
- Your WiFi network signal may be unstable; move the device closer to the router and try again.
- There are compatibility issues with your WiFi network.
In the latter case, check that:
- Your WiFi network is set to a frequency of 2.4 GHz. You can try changing the frequency of your router or, if it is dual-band, create a new WiFi network with a 2.4 GHz frequency. Shelfy only works with a 2.4 GHz frequency.
- Your WiFi password is at least 8 characters long and a maximum of 32 characters long.
- Your WiFi password does not contain any special characters. Here is the list of accepted characters: ! # $ & ' ( ) * + , - . / : ; < = > ? @ [ \ ] ^ _ ` { | } ~ "
- You have iOS 14.0 or later and Android 6.0 or later.
- Also check that your WiFi network is set to channel 11 or lower in the settings.
- You are not using a WiFi extension. Shelfy does not currently support some of them.
